I always had this impression that maybe Turbo had been at the arcade longer than Felix. I’m pretty sure Felix and Ralph had their hay day at the arcade where they were top game at some point in time. It can only explain why they’ve been around for so long.
Anywho, I always had this thought that maybe Felix’s first encounter with Turbo wasn’t a pleasant one…. perhaps a more threatening one.
Odd thing also… I’ve had the idea in the back of my mind that Felix wasn’t supposed to meet King Candy and that’s why they just had Sour Bill throw him in the fungeon. I mean… Turbo’s voice was the same as Candy’s. I’m pretty sure if Felix would have talked with Candy he would have figured him out. After all, Turbo was the hero of his game. I’m pretty sure at some point in time he and Felix crossed paths.

I don't know about longer, but you're probably right! That's a great head canon! But I remember in the movie, when Felix was telling Calhoun about Turbo when they first got to Sugar Rush and there was a flashback and everything that showed Turbotime, I saw Felix's game right next to it. So yah! x3 I love this

Hmm, I had actually thought that too--that Felix couldn't meet King Candy face-to-face or he'd recognize him. I like how you've set this scene in Tappers. I also like how you included the fellow racers. They're probably mostly threatening because it's nice for them to see Turbo picking on someone else for a change. Poor Felix looks shocked that Turbo is not the 'good sport.' Nice detail on his name tag by the way.
